Authors' copies of my books have started piling up around here again, so I thought I'd offer some of them here for those of you who might like signed copies of this or that before we start restructuring / restocking our offsite storage. Also, I've been able to acquire some good-quality copies of earlier stuff (the early Young Wizards hardcovers in particular), and as a result I now have some copies available to be let go.

If you're interested, please check below the cut. EDIT: if an entry is struck through, someone's already spoken up for it / bought it / whatever. EVEN MORE EDIT: (14:54 BST) We're on our way to town and won't be back for a few hours. If you haven't heard anything from me by now, I'll get back to you in about five/six hours. Thanks!

Anyway: as for the books. All these come to the buyer signed (and personalized if requested: to you or whoever.) All prices are in US dollars. Payment by PayPal is preferred (faster for everybody involved). I ship all books by registered mail (but can also use FedEx, UPS or similar for those who're in more of a rush).

Star Trek:First of all, we just got in a shipment of books from Pocket, so I have seven two copies of Rihannsu: The Bloodwing Voyages that I don't need. Sheesh, do these things take up space! :) They go for $18.00 US, signed: postage is extra, and depends on how you want the book sent.

There are also seven one spare copies of Rihannsu: The Empty Chair: $9.99 signed.

Also, I have a spare first edition hardcover copy of Spock's World. These are hard to find now in decent condition. The book has its dustjacket, but this is a little beat up -- top and bottom wear, an incompletely torn-off (price?) sticker: otherwise OK. The book inside I would rate as good / very good quality -- tight, clean, page edges clean, no wear. $60.00. Gone...thanks!

Additionally, I have a mint first edition hardcover copy of Dark Mirror. Hard-ish to find now. Signed, $30.00. Gone now...thanking you!

Young Wizards: There is a fair amount of YW stuff available at the moment. (Re prices on the collectibles -- I use Abebooks and / or Alibris to suggest prices on the harder-to-find ones. Normally I undercut the Abebooks prices somewhat.) From newest to oldest:

I sitll have five three copies of the hardcover Wizards at War, in mint condition. Signed, $19.00. Also, there are two copies of this (i.e., fancy bound proofs which will usually contain material that doesn't appear in the final book). For these, signed, $25.00. Gone now...thanks!

Wizard's Holiday: I have two uncorrected bound proofs. Both are pristine. Like the above, these are rare, as they represent the pre-final form of the book. Signed: $45.00. Gone now...thanks!

A Wizard Alone: the first edition hardcover, signed. One slight stain on the page edges: otherwise mint. Getting harder to find now, so: $35.00.

The Wizard's Dilemma: I have one uncorrected proof of this. It has some stains on the top edges of the pages (you ask me, they look like cat footprints) but otherwise it's clean, tight and has never been opened. Signed: $30.00.

A Wizard Abroad: there are two hardcover versions of this -- the Harcourt small-format version and the SF Book Club edition with the David Cherry cover (C.J. Cherryh's brother, incidentally). I have spares of both. The Harcourt one is easier to find: the Book Club edition is rare. Both are in pristine condition. The SFBC hardcover has a small bang / scuff at the bottom of the dustjacket's spine: otherwise, mint -- clean, tight and never opened. The two Harcourt copies are both pristine. Signed: the Book Club edition, $50.00. The Harcourt edition: $25.00 each.

The Book of Night with Moon and On Her Majesty's Wizardly Service: I have these in the first-edition British hardcovers. Both are in excellent shape: OHM is pristine, TBONWM has suffered some yellowing of the outer page edges but is otherwise in very good shape. $35.00 signed for TBONWM, $30.00 for OHMWS. Gone now, thanks!

(I also have a pair of trade paperback copies of the US editions (the second book was titled To Visit the Queen in the US). Both are in "very good" condition with tiny knocks to the spine -- nothing worse. $15.00 each, signed.

Omnibus editions: I have two copies of the SFBC hardcover The Young Wizards, which contains the first five YW novels (SYWTBAW, DW, HW, AWAb, TWD). Both gone now, thanks...

...Now we come to the oldest ones. These are very difficult to find in hardcover and in decent condition, and as a result the prices start getting scary. (I acquire them myself from AbeBooks when I can.)

Deep Wizardry: I have two one spare hardcover. One has a somewhat beat-up dustcover (top and corner wear) and some age discoloration on the boards, but is otherwise in fine shape. The other It has only very very slight chipping on the top dustcover edges and a small tear on the bottom front edge -- is otherwise excellent except for the slightest discoloration on the tops of the closed pages. For the first one, signed, $70.00: For this one, signed, $90.00.

So You Want to Be a Wizard: I have a single spare copy of the 1983 hardcover first edition. These are now quite rare in good condition, and hard to find in any condition whatsoever (not surprising when you consider that the original print run was only about 1500 copies). Charmingly, this one's a library edition, and so it kind of looks its part. It's in the same sort of brown-bordered plastic cover you might normally find on a library book (its original home was at the Hoover School Library of the Medford School District in Medford, Oregon). Inside that plastic cover, the dustjacket has suffered very little damage and no fading that I can detect. The boards have a little top and bottom wear, but otherwise seem perfect. The interior is also in excellent shape, which makes me wonder if anyone ever read it. :) I've been using it casually as a reference copy, but it shows no scars from that. For this one, signed: $150.00.

Miscellaneous: AKA the "Why am I hanging onto this?" department.

I have a pristine copy of the bound proofs for Spider-Man: the Lizard Sanction. (I believe I also have a spare of the slipcased hardcover upstairs, with the trading card, in case anyone wants such a thing.) $25.00 signed.

I also have a spare copy of Meditations on Middle Earth: New Writing on the Worlds of J.R.R. Tolkien. Essays by Ursula LeGuin, TerryPratchett, Orson Scott Card, Charles de Lint, George RR Martin, and oh yeah, me. Signed: $25.00

...So there you go. If anything here tickles your fancy, please query me in comments or mail me at diane dot duane at gmail dot com. Shipping via registered mail usually takes 5-7 business days to the US: ask about other destinations or other ways to ship.

Thanks!
